Published by Sierra Publishing
96 pages, 170 x 240 mm, card cover, 126 photographs, many in colour.
This well produced book covers the scenic broad-gauge Victorian Railways’ Healesville and Warburton branches, and the main timber tramways.
A wide range of photographs are included, including passenger and goods trains, steam and diesel locomotives, rail motors, stations, bridges, and scenery. It includes a photo of Powelltown tramway tickets (in colour), and a picture of a Shay loco double-headingLittle Yarra on a rescue mission. Many of photographs have not been published before.
Photographs predominate, but the text and captions are informative and well done. A widely appealing book!
